North segment of the Libal Street Improvement Project
to begin on Monday, June 24th
(Libal Street closure to expand to the north)

Beginning Monday, June 24th, the Libal Street closure to through traffic will expand to include the north segment of the Libal Street Improvement Project, between Allouez Avenue and Kalb Avenue, as crews begin work on this project segment.

With construction activities expanded to the north, Libal Street will be closed to through traffic between WIS 172 and Kalb Avenue.

The posted detour route for the closure of Libal St. from WIS 172 to Kalb Avenue is Allouez Avenue/County 0, to Webster Avenue/County X, to WIS 54/E. Mason Street. The intersection of Libal Street and Allouez Avenue will remain open throughout the course of the project. Motorists are required to obey regulatory signage, especially at the sideroads.

Local access remains for residents and businesses within the project corridor, and well as for emergency vehicles. To assist patrons seeking to visit businesses in this area, the Village has installed wayfinding signage directing patrons to use East River Drive to access Libal Street businesses located near Greene Avenue. Area residents are encouraged to continue patronizing these businesses during construction.

Weather permitting, the Libal Street Improvement Project is anticipated to be completed in early October.
