Boards & Committees

This board is responsible for granting or denying special exceptions to the zoning code.

Board of Ethics

This board is responsible for reviewing any ethics complaints filed and reviewing the Village’s Ethics Code.

Board of Review

This board is responsible for making decisions on property assessments.

If the assessor does not have the assessments ready by the 2nd Monday in May, then the board will meet at a later time. If numerous appeals have been filed, the board may have to meet for a longer period of time.

Finance Personnel Ad Hoc Committee

This committee provides recommendations on long range capital improvements, bonding, annual budget, expenditures, and personnel matters.

Parks, Recreation & Forestry Committee

This committee is responsible for making recommendations on the Parks, Recreation, and Forestry annual budget and other department issues.

Public Works Committee

This committee provides oversight of the Public Works annual budget and funding for capital projects, input to operations services and long-range planning, and such other matters as requested by the Village Board.

Historic Preservation Commission

This commission recommends the designation of historic sites, structures, and districts and reviews proposed projects that will alter, repair, rehabilitate, reconstruct, or raze any improvement upon such structure and may issue a certificate of appropriateness.

Plan Commission

This commission acts as an advisory committee to the Village Board and staff for the community planning and land use management in Allouez. The Plan Commission is responsible for review of site plans, recommend changes in zoning ordinances, and evaluation of zoning requests.

Bicycle & Pedestrian Ad Hoc Committee

The Bicycle and Pedestrian Ad Hoc Committee was a dedicated group focused on improving sustainable transportation and advocating for the well-being of pedestrians and cyclists in our community. Committed to safety and accessibility, the committee collaboratively developed strategies to create a more bike-friendly and walkable environment. Through proactive efforts, they played a pivotal role in advancing our Village’s commitment to a healthier, more environmentally conscious, and interconnected community.
